ROOTZ: Radical Organizing and Outdoor Thingz

ROOTZ is a Black and Indigenous land trust grown out of Western North Carolina. ROOTZ main focus is Black Brown Indigenous matriarch, land stewardship, housing security, education, and awarding funds to members direct communities to preserve and nurture land relationships (which are directly connected to our food pathway).

ROOTZ promotes creativity in healing land relationships and creating access to the outdoors for local Black and Indigenous communities while prioritizing anti-racist work in (but not limited to) Western NC.

ROOTZ is a project grown from Soulfull Simone Farm partnerships that extend to NC, TN, SC, GA, MS, LA, ME states, and accepting members of various nations, tribes, states, countries, etc.
